Overview

While by default, Zoom Meeting Recordings are sent to the meeting host's My Folder > Meeting Recordings folder in their Panopto account, (Finding your Zoom Meeting Recordings (host) Zoom Meeting recordings can be automatically sent to your Panopto Recordings link in your Canvas course.

This article shows how to send Meeting Recordings directly to the Panopto Recordings folder in Canvas.
You will need to:
  1. Enable Zoom in each of the Canvas courses.
  2. Enable Panopto Recordings in each of your Canvas course.
Please note
  1. Use unique Zoom Meeting IDs from scheduled recurring meetings. Do not use your Personal Room number.
  2. Multiple recordings can be sent to a single Canvas site. But a single recording cannot be automatically sent to multiple Canvas sites.

are not inadvertently viewed by students.

Under Create folder mappings... click Add New.

In the box paste the meeting ID (replace spaces with dashes) [1]
Select your desired course folder from the list [2].
  1. Tip: type in the class number, eg. 70010, and click the resulting folder
  2. Look in Canvas courses in the folder list if you do not see your course.

Click Save.

Future recordings for that meeting will appear in the Panopto Recordings link in Canvas.
