Setting Rotary Pump on Single Group (January 2020 or later)

Tools Needed: Flathead screwdriver, Phillips head screw driver, or multi screwdriver (photo)

Time Needed: 10 Min

Press circle to enter into programming

Scroll to pump percentage, confirm the pump is set to 90%

Actuate paddle to return to main screen
Remove Cup tray on top of machine
Remove two screws holding on the back panel

Being careful of the ribbon cable remove the back panel

Set the back panel to the side of the machine with the ribbon cable still attached and the screen active.
NOTE: The panel in the picture is resting on top of the side panel, this is only for illustrative purpose, rest the panel on the counter top leaning against the side of the machine.


Insert blind portafilter into the group


Actuate the group to full brew and note the bar pressure. The goal is for the bar pressure to be set to 10 bar. 


Use the bypass adjustment on the pump to adjust the bar pressure. Using a flat head screwdriver adjust the bypass. Clockwise to increase pressure, counter clockwise to decrease pressure.














Only run the pump in 20 second increments. After 20 seconds cycle the pump off. Any time you make an adjustment on the pump cycle actuator off and back on.

Once the bar pressure is at 10 bar, replace the back panel and the top cup tray.
