Common problems when importing into QuickBooks

Overview

This article will explain solutions to common problems that you may encounter when exporting from SalesPRO and import into QuickBooks.

You can't change the type of a name or add duplicate name.


This can occur if you attempt to import an employee whose name matches that of an existing customer or vendor. QuickBooks does not allow customers, vendor and employees to have the same names.

You cannot associate an Item with Sales Tax Payable, Undeposited Funds...


There are a number of problems that can cause this error to occur but the most typical causes are

  • When importing an invoice that has sales tax, the sales tax item on the invoice references an item in the QuickBooks Items list that has a type of Service.
