Customers with parent customers don't export to QuickBooks correctly
Symptoms
When a customer that has a parent customer is exported to QuickBooks the parent customer information is not included in the export file.
Cause
This is caused by a bug in the SWCS QuickBooks module.
Workaround
There is no known workaround at this time.
Status
Solatech has confirmed this to be a problem with the software listed at the end of this article. As more information becomes available this article will be updated.
Parent customers are used to allow users to export 'Jobs' to QuickBooks. The parent SWCS customer is treated as the QuickBooks 'customer' and the child SWCS customer is treated as the QuickBooks 'Job'.
When invoices are exported from SWCS to QuickBooks the parent information is used and the customer is correctly exported as a 'Job', however when the customer information is exported independently of an invoice the parent information is not exported.
