How to put images on production labels

Summary

This article explains how to put images on production labels printed with the Solatech Window Covering Software.

More Information

Putting labels on production labels is a two-step process. The first is to find the image and update your company information to reference it. The second step is to modify your production labels to apply the image.

Note: At this time only one image can be applied to production labels, that is only one image can be referenced in the Company Information so all/any production label will use the same image. This image is applied as a background image.

To reference the image in Company Information

Images must be placed in the \Reports folder in order to be used on labels. Copy the image file to the \Reports folder that is referenced in File Manager.

Finding the \Reports folder

  1. From the File menu, click File Manager.
  2. Change the File Type to Reports.
  3. On the toolbar, click the Open folder button, the one on the far right of the toolbar. This is the folder where the image should be copied.

Referencing the image

  1. From the File menu, click Company Information.
  2. Click the Logo tab.
  3. Click the Logo Type of Small.
  4. Click on the File column, on the small row and from the drop-down select the image you want to use on the labels.
  5. Click Save and Close.

To apply an image to a production label

  1. From the Tasks menu, click Manage Process Reports.
  2. Select the Category Production Labels.
  3. From the list of labels on the right, select the label you want to add the label to. Note: You cannot modify the built-in labels. If you want to use a built-in label you must first make a copy of the label and they modify your label setup to use the copied label.
  4. Click Modify on the toolbar.
  5. Click Change Label Layout.
  6. Click the Image Settings tab at the bottom of the screen.
  7. Check the box "Place a logo image on the label".
  8. Change the various settings to size and position the image where you want it.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click OK again.
  11. Close the Reports Center.
  12. Now when the label is printed it will have the selected image printed in the background. Any label fields on the label will print on top of the image.
