How to use the Product Compare feature in SalesPRO

Summary

The Product Compare feature allows you to quickly compare products, styles and options for multiple products  The comparisons are shown in columns on one screen and can be printed for review with your customer.

Instructions

  • From within a quote or sale, select at least one line item. Then click the Product Compare icon, located in the Tools section

  • On the Product Compare window, you can select the entire column, or choose individual cells to compare.  For this example, we'll choose lines 1, 2 & 3 from Column A. 
  • Next, select the appropriate Command from the right hand column. For this example, we'll use Replace Product, Style and Options. (This is the recommended choice)


  • The Edit Product Item window will appear.
  • Note: The following options cannot be changed:  Room Location, Width, Height, Mount, Remarks and any other dimension option.  These options are shown, but are greyed out. 
  • Click the green validate bar to begin making changes.
  • Select the new Product, Style and Options.
  • Click OK.
  • Your changes will be processed and you will see the Replace Review window appear.
  • Any errors will be noted on this screen. 
  • Press OK to return to the Product Compare Window.


  • If you wish to add another column to compare a different product, click the Add a column button and then repeat the steps above. 


  • You can Preview or print this window by dropping down the arrow in the lower left hand corner of the screen, and selecting Print List


  • To apply new products to your quote or sale, select the cells containing the selected product
  • Please note that you can choose cells from different columns, but you can only choose one cell for each line item. 
  • For the example below, we will select line item 1 & 2 from column A and line item 3 from column B. 


  • Right click, and select Choose selected cells


  • The selected cells will be in a bold font, indicating they will be applied to the quote or sale. 
  • Press OK
  • The quote or sale will now contain your new products.
