Recording Customer Measurements

Summary

This article explains how to record Customer Measurements in SalesPRO software.  These measurements can be used to quickly create one or more quotes for the customer.

Instructions

  • Click on the Customers icon from the Home tab.
  • Click once on the customer name for which you will be recording measurements.
  • Click on the Customer Measurements icon.

  • On the Customer Measurements window, click New.


  • Using the Dropdown menus, select Room, Item, and Mount.  (note: the menu selections are populated by measurement lists found in the following location Maintenance>Manage Lists.  You may also enter text of your choice in these fields)
  • Enter Measurement for Width and Height.
  • Press OK.
  • Note:  You may also use your Leica Disto laser to send measurements into this screen.


  • The Measurement will be added to the Customer Measurement record.
  • If "Create another measurement" is checked, then when you click OK, the entry will progress to the next window in that same Room location.
  • The  Width and Height fields will be cleared.
  • Your Item will progress to the next Window/Door, in this case Window 2.


  • Continue entering Widths and Heights.
  • When finished, hit Cancel.
  • You will return to the Customer Measurements screen, where all your recorded measurements will be listed. 
  • Note:  The measurements will be shown as decimals.  This is normal, and they will be converted to 1/8" when used in Order Entry. 
  • Hit Close to exit and save.


  • Your measurements are now saved for future use.
