Reset the next PO number

Summary

This package will adjust the next PO Number so that it does not conflict with any existing PO numbers; It will set the next PO number to be 1 more than the highest PO number.

Prior to SalesPRO version 5.0.159, PO numbers were not getting incremented correctly. This was fixed in release 5.0.159 but to ensure that PO's can be processed by OOP this package should be installed.

How to install this package

  1. Run SalesPRO.
  2. From the Help menu click Install Packages.
  3. When prompted, enter the following package key and then click Add: SWCS50_ResetNextPONumber
  4. Click OK to install the package.

Where to install this package

This package should only be installed on the main system. It can be run from any local workstation that's connected to the main system. It does not need to be installed on Roaming Workstations.

Note: Make sure you are running 5.0.159 or higher. If not, download and install the latest update before installing this package.

The changes this package performs can be done manually by following these steps

  1. Run SalesPRO.
  2. Review all of your PO's to determine the highest PO number that has currently been used.
  3. From the System button click Application Settings.
  4. Click the Purchase Orders page from the list of pages on the left.
  5. Set the next purchase order number to be 1 higher than the highest PO number you found.
  6. Click OK.
