Summary:

This article explains how to view a report (output) in Solatech Focus.

At many points in the Sales process, there may be a need to view output either for your customer or internally.  The output available to you depends upon the status of the Quote/Sale/Order.

Quote Output:

• Quote
• Internal Order

Sales or Order Output:

• Order Confirmation
• Invoice
• Internal Order
• Installer Form

To view one of these reports, first open the Quote/Sale/Order by clicking on the hyperlink from the Quotes/Sales/Orders list page.  The Hyperlink is the Quote/Sale/Order number.

In the Generate Reports section, choose a report from the drop down menu and click on View Report.

This will generate a PDF.  

Note: If you have Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer and it is set at the default PDF viewer, the PDF will automatically open.

If not, how this works depends on which browser you use:

Chrome:

• When you click View Report, you will see the file begin downloading in the lower left corner of your screen.  The name of the file will be a series of letters and numbers.
• When it is finished, click in that box to open the report.

Edge:

• The PDF will automatically open in a new tab in your browser.

Internet Explorer:

• The file will download, you will see a bar across the bottom of your screen.  
• Click Open
• The PDF will open.

Mozilla Firefox:

• The file will download and appear in the upper right hand corner of your screen.
• Click on the file to open it.

Safari (apple):

• Clicking on View Report will cause the PDF to open in a new tab.
