Conference for Sustainable Communities

The Solutions Summit project has manifested as an annual conference and networking event for social and political activits in Cairns region. The conference focuses on how communities can work towards sustainability within mainstream culture.

Presentations and workshops are held by community leaders and experts in the fields of health, community building, sustainabile design, food, and more.  

Solutions Summit also hosts a donation based cafe. Food for the cafe is sourced locally from participanting gardens. The cafe serves as a workshop for participants that want to learn how to use gardens to make healthy, sustainable meals.

Entertainment is also provided by musicians from the local community.

The event has been previously supported by the Real Food Network, LETS, and T-House.
