How to download Form 26AS

Form 26 AS can be obtained through TWO options:
a) By Logging in to Income Tax Website
b) By Logging in to Net Banking



Option A: Download 26 AS by Login to Income Tax Website

How to Download Form 26 AS | By Login to Income Tax Website

Step 1:
 Visit the income tax website www.incometaxindiaefing.gov.in
 Login if already register or register yourself on website before login


Step 2:
  1. On Login you will be directed to Dashboard page.
  2. On Dashboard Page from “ My Account “ Tab click on “View Form 26AS (Tax Credit)"


Step 3:
  1. Click on the “Confirm” button



Step 4:
  1. Click on tick box “ I agree to the usage and acceptance of Form 16/16A generated from TRACES” and click on Proceed button as highlighted in red


Step 5:
  1. Click on “ View tax credit (Form 26AS)” to view your Form 26 AS


Step 6:

Following are the steps to download Form 26 AS in PDF Format
 
1.    Select the Assessment Year from drop down list
2.   Then Select from View As option “HTML”
3.   Press “View/ Download” button.
4.   Form 26 AS will be displayed on Screen
5.   Then Click on “Export as PDF” button
6.   26 AS in PDF format will be automatically downloaded



Option B: Download 26 AS by Login to Net Banking

Steps to view/ download Form 26 AS through Net Banking are more or less similar for every bank. As mentioned in earlier slide there are 34 Banks providing facility to view and download 26 AS through net banking. We have covered following 2 banks' process flow to view and download 26 AS through net banking:
a)    HDFC Bank
b)    ICICI Bank
To download for 26 AS through Net Banking it is essential that PAN Number should be linked to the Bank Account
How to Download Form 26 AS | By Net Banking

By Login to Net Banking (HDFC Bank)

Step 1:
  1. Login to your Net banking Account.
  2. Click on “View Tax Credit Statements“ Tab as highlighted in Red.



Step 2: 


  1. Select your PAN Number and Click on Continue button



Step 3: 

  1. Enter the captcha and press 'Continue' button


Step 4: 
  1. Click on tick box “ I agree to the usage and acceptance of Form 16/16A generated from TRACES” and click on Proceed button as highlighted in red.


Step 5: 

  1. Click on “ View tax credit (Form 26AS)” to view your Form 26 AS



Step 6:

Following are the steps to download Form 26 AS in PDF Format

   1.    Select the Assessment Year from drop down list


2.   Then Select from View As option “HTML”


3.    Press “View/ Download” button.


4.    Form 26 AS will be displayed on Screen


5.    Then Click on “Export as PDF” button


6.    26 AS in PDF format will be automatically downloaded




By Login to Net Banking (ICICI Bank)


Step 1:
  1. Login to your Net banking Account.
  2. Click on “Tax Centre“ Tab from “Payments & Transfer” drop down menu option .



Step 2: 
  1. Click on View button in “View Tax Credit Statement- Form 26AS” box
Step 3: 
  1. Click on “Submit” button


Step 4: 
  1. Click on tick box “ I agree to the usage and acceptance of Form 16/16A generated from TRACES” and click on Proceed button as highlighted in red.


Step 5: 
  1. Click on “ View tax credit (Form 26AS)” to view your Form 26 AS.



Step 6:

Following are the steps to download Form 26 AS in PDF Format

   1.    Select the Assessment Year from drop down list


2.   Then Select from View As option “HTML”


3.   Press “View/ Download” button.


4.   Form 26 AS will be displayed on Screen
