Obtaining a MapQuest Key

Obtaining a MapQuest Key

To utilize the geo-spatial capability of GlyphIT®, you must load a MapQuest key into DataMapper or GlyphViewer.  You can e-mail SynGlyphX at support@synglyphx.com to obtain a MapQuest key.  You can also obtain your own key.  If you prefer to do so, follow the instructions below.

Open your browser and navigate to https://developer.mapquest.com/

Click on “Get your Free API Key” and fill in the required information, then click “Sign Me Up”

Click on “My Application” to retrieve your MapQuest key

Copy the “Consumer Key”

Open either DataMapper OR GlyphViewer, and click on “Tools > Map Download Settings” in the top menu bar.

Paste the Consumer Key into the MapQuest Open Key box and click "OK".

Note: You will only need to do this once, in either DataMapper OR GlyphViewer, to allow you to edit and view geospatial visualizations in both tools.
