In GDPR-terms, you are the controller, Task Analytics is the processor. If you process personal data through Task Analytics, we can help you with a standard Data Processing Agreement (DPA) contract. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The General Data Protection Regulation came into effect on May 25th, 2018. Its main goals are to
  1. Harmonize data privacy laws across Europe
  2. Protect and empower EU citizens data privacy
  3. Reshape the way organizations approach data privacy
The collection, storage, transfer and/or use of personal data about individuals in the European Union is strictly regulated in the GDPR. It’s designed to give users more rights and control over their data by regulating the way companies handle and store personal data they collect.

The GDPR has an extended jurisdiction. It applies to all companies processing the personal data of data subject residing in the European Union, regardless of the company’s location. It’s important to realize GDPR may apply to your company, even if you do not have an entity of presence in the EU or do not process the data in the EU. Failure to comply to GDPR can lead to hefty fines.

Processor and controller of Data

Organizations are classified as processors or controllers of personal data. Some organizations may be both. Organizations that determine the purpose of the storage or processing of personal information are considered controllers. Organizations that store or process personal data on behalf of another organization are considered processors.

Task Analytics is a Processor. As a client of Task Analytics, you are the Controller for the data captured because you control and manage the data. You decide how that data is used, how long to keep it, etc..
When you use the Task Analytics administrative application (https://admin.taskanalytics.com/), Task Analytics assumes the role of Data Controller with respect to any information collected while using admin.taskanalytics.com.
