Adding your Google Business Profile link to your Review Generation

Adding your Google Business Profile link to your Review Generation

You can add your Google My Business URL to your Review Generation page to both generate new reviews as well as monitor your existing reviews.

Generate = Your client will be redirected or prompted to go to Google to copy and paste their review there after completing a survey or testimonial request.

Monitor = Any reviews left directly on your Google page will be pulled into your Testimonial Tree account. After entering your link it does take up to 48 hours for reviews to populate from Google into your account and then any new reviews are pulled in on a weekly basis.

Note that testimonials captured by Testimonial Tree can not be auto-published to third-party sites, as these sites require a registered user to leave a review. Relatedly, reviews imported into your Testimonial Tree account from one third-party site can not be published to another third-party site. For example, Google reviews can not be sent to Zillow, etc.

For more information on third-party sites, please see this article.

Follow the steps below to add your GMB URL to either the Generate or both the Generate and Monitoring fields:

Step 1: From your dashboard click on Review Generation in the Navigation Bar

Step 2: Click on Manage

Step 3: Click on "+ Add Site"

Step 4: There are several fields you will fill in on this next page.  First though, open a new tab and paste in the following link: https://developers.google.com/places/place-id

Step 5: On the Google Place Id Finder page, you will want to scroll down to the search field and begin searching your business page.  Once you find your business, select the name and a box will appear in the map providing you with your Google Place ID.  Copy this ID.

Step 6: Take this ID and add it to the end of the following URL, https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=
  1. As an example, here is how your URL for Google should now look: https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=ChIJ11ip5xMX24gRwHMe2NSXznA
Step 7: Next, copy your new Google URL and add it into the "Review Generation ULR" field in Testimonial Tree

Step 8: If this Google site also has reviews you would like to Monitor (pull into TT), click the "Copy Generation Link" button

Step 9: Ensure your name is selected in the "Assigned User" drop down and click "Save Changes"
