Stuttering on Playback of File

Stuttering on Playback of File

When a song stop and starts or "stutters" on playback this is due to inadequate computer resources.
Specifically CPU power and/or RAM.

If you go to the algorithm submenu and select Polyphonic 1, 2, 3 these might achieve slightly
better quality BUT they take very large amounts of system resources and on most machines
should be considered non-realtime settings.

On most machines, the standard algorithm settings of P/T/V should work okay.  These are:

P is for performance, meaning small changes in key or tempo
T is for transcribe. It will yield better quality on larger changes
V is for single instruments or voice.

On the Polyphonic 1, 2, and 3 , or any other settings that cause this stuttering,  you can still use these
and apply them to files by using the Export command and creating a new file with these settings applied,
but playing them in real time will be very difficult.

One way to avoid the stuttering it to select your algorithm settings. Start the song playing and then pause it for a period
of time to give your system time to process the file. Once it gets ahead then you can resume play
and it will play without stuttering until playback catches up with the processing.

Also, you the larger the graphing area on your screen the more CPU usage it takes, so keep the UI at
the normal default size rather than maximizing will save some CPU usage.
