System Recording Setup for XP SP3

As we have noted in other Knowledge base articles, the set up for recording system audio is different for every machine, and on older XP machines, the configuration is more complex that on newer OS's like Windows 7.  Here is a step by step setup from one XP machine, that might be of assistance.
a) After the SS Record window is displayed
b)Clicked on "Record Level..."
c)XP "Recording Control" displayed
d)Clicked on Options>Properties
e)Clicked all check boxes (Mono and Stereo Mixer were not checked)
f)Set "Adjust volume for" to "Recording", clicked OK
g)In Recording Control, clicked check box for Stereo Mixer
h)Clicked Options, Exit or the X
