Doremi Showvault Server not powering up on reboot
The IMB draws its power from the projector. If the projector is powered off from its main switch, the IMB doesn't get power and the system cannot fully wake up.The IMB is critical to all functions on the server and without it powered you are effectively lobotomizing the server with unpredictable results.
The correct procedure for shutting down is to power down the server through the on-screen menu. Once the server has been completely powered down, then and only then can you safely shut off the projector main switch on the back.
The wake-up sequence is also critical. The projector must be powered on and "awake" before powering up the server. If you attempt to power up the server without the projector powered, you will have unpredictable results.
I'm speculating that what happened was that the projector was turned off while the server was left on. The server, while appearing to be on, could not ingest the keys because the IMB was powered down by the projector. When you power cycled the server it could not communicate with the IMB so it would not complete the boot cycle.
