How do I get rid of Yellow/Mustard algae?


For yellow/mustard algae, we recommend Yellow Treat. Simply add 5 ounces (one bag or one capful) per 10,000 gallons, brush, then shock the pool. You can find more information in the Directions tab on the product page.

      Yellow Treat can sometimes interfere with chlorine readings, especially if you use too much and not enough chlorine. If that happens, don't shock. Just chlorinate as normal until the reading returns.  You shouldn't get algae in the meantime.
