If you used Yellow Treat and shocked and the pool water turned green it's likely you have metal in the water. We recommend lowering your Total Alkalinity to 80ppm and consider using Pool Stain Treat to sequester the metals.

      Yellow Treat can sometimes interfere with chlorine readings, especially if you use too much and not enough chlorine. If that happens, don't shock. Just chlorinate as normal until the reading returns.  You shouldn't get algae in the meantime.
