Error Messages

            Sometimes, you may encounter an error message when trying to start VisitorRego.NET. This can be due to a number of things.

            Can't Open Database Error Message

                        



            This is a security issue and can be solved by opening the Control Panel and clicking on ‘User Accounts’….

            Under ‘User Accounts’ you will see ‘Change User Account Control Settings'. Click on this.


            Set to 'Never Notify'.




            Re-start your computer to apply these changes, then re-start VisitorRego.NET.

            Note: This applies to computers running Windows 7.




            Scanner Error Message





            If you are not using a scanner with your VisitorRego.NET then just click OK.

            If you are using a scanner, this error message means the scanner has been unplugged.
            Simply plug the scanner back into a free USB port and click OK. (For more information see: Scanner)
