Personal ID Sign-In Options

VisitorRego's Personal ID feature simplifies site access for visitors, contractors, and staff by offering a convenient and efficient sign-in process. Personal IDs serve as unique identifiers that individuals can scan for quick and reliable sign-ins and outs.  This article provides instructions on configuring the handling options within the VisitorRego software for Personal IDs. These options allow for tailored sign-in experiences according to the site's specific requirements.

By default, scanning a Personal ID will automatically sign you in or out of the site. A notification will promptly appear in the top left corner of the screen to confirm the success of the sign-in or sign-out. No notifications are sent to the host, and Health and Safety slides are not shown to streamline the sign-in process.

There are three options available for customising the handling of the sign-in process when using personal IDs. These options are as follows.

Prompt On Scan


When the Prompt On Scan option is enabled, scanning your Personal ID to sign in retrieves your details from the last sign-in you made and automatically populates the Self-Registration fields. This prompts you to review and confirm your details, allowing you to make any adjustments, such as updating the person you are here to meet. Subsequently, pressing the register button takes you through to the Health & Safety slides. Once you acknowledge these slides, the sign-in process is successfully completed.

To enable the Prompt On Scan option, from VisitorRego's Admin mode, select Options> General tab, then expand the ID section.



Check the checkbox Prompt On Scan.
Close out of the System Setup window to hold the changes.


When the Print Label On Scan option is enabled, scanning your Personal ID triggers the sign-in process, similar to the default procedure. However, with Print Label On Scan enabled, in addition to the sign-in confirmation notification, a label is printed. This option maintains the streamlined sign-in process by bypassing the display of visitor details or Health and Safety slides with each scan.

To enable the Print Label On Scan option, from VisitorRego's Admin mode, select Options> General tab, then expand the ID section.



Check the checkbox Print Label On Scan.
Close out of the System Setup window to hold the changes.

Send Notifications to MeetingWith on PersonalID Scan


When the Send Notifications to MeetingWith on PersonalID Scan option is enabled, scanning your Personal ID triggers the sign-in process, similar to the default Personal ID procedure. However, in addition to the standard sign-in process, email and/or SMS notifications are automatically sent to the host to inform them of your arrival.

To enable the Send Notifications to MeetingWith on PersonalID Scan option, from VisitorRego's Admin mode, select Options> General tab, then expand the ID section.



Check the checkbox Send Notifications to MeetingWith on PersonalID Scan.
Close out of the System Setup window to hold the changes.
  
Each option is designed to function independently or in synergy with others. You have the capability to enable a combination of options to refine and optimise the Personal ID sign-in process for your site.
