Upgrading is easy, and can be done over the phone or via email instructions. Our support team is on hand to help you with this process.
Upgrading your software is a simple process, as outlined in the four steps below:
1. Backup!
It is always recommended that you backup your VisitorRego.NET files and database, just in case you get stuck along the way.
Think of it as saving your work.
2. SQL Update
Depending on which database system you are using to hold all your registration data, upgrading may require a change to the database. If you are using SQL, updating is as easy as running a script against this database, which VisitorRego can provide. If you are using a local Microsoft Access database, sit back, relax, VisitorRego will automatically update your database when you upgrade with the latest version.
3. Uninstall/Reinstall
Out with the old and in with the new! Our step by step guide complete with screenshots will guide you through uninstalling the old version and re-installing with the latest version.
4. Reinstating your graphics
This final check ensures your customer branding is being displayed for the visitor to see. This is also a good time to check your scanner and printer settings.
All done! You should now be up and running with the latest version of VisitorRego and taking advantage of all the new and improved features that have been tried and tested in our VisitorRego lab.
