HardTrack Cloud Device Status, All in_progress, All Switch/Exchange

HardTrack Cloud Device Status, All in_progress, All Switch/Exchange:

Knowing if commands you have sent to a Cloud Device have successfully completed, is important for Device Management:

When you Start Logging on a Cloud Device, you can watch the lights on the device and if you see the blue lights, you can count on the fact that the Start Logging command has been received.  You can watch your HardTrack Dashboard and see when temperature data begins to show up.

What if you are working as a team with someone as a team and you are not physically at the location at the job site when the Start Logging or Stop Logging has been sent to the Cloud Device?  How do you know if the Stop Logging command that was sent to the Cloud Device, was ever accepted?

For longer battery life, knowing if Stop Logging has occurred on your device, is very important
.
Starting with version 5.1._01.10, within HardTrack Desktop, you can click on CloudDevice, then Status to see the status of all of the commands that have been sent to the Cloud Device that you are currently working with:

If your project has been logging for a while and no new Start Logging or Stop logging commands have been sent to the selected device, you will see a list of current Device Connections.  These are when the device connects to upload temperature information:

if you press the Hide Connections button, all Device Connections that have been made will be hidden for you, so that you can see commands that you have previously sent to the device:

If you have just recently sent either a Start Logging or Stop Logging command to your device and the command has not been received by the device yet, you will see that the status of the command is in_progress:

The HardTrack Cloud Server will update the status of your commands automatically, every few minutes.  If you click Refresh, you can see if your commands have completed.

A more direct approach is to click the Update Status button.  The Update Status Button directly connects to the server and retrieves the status of the commands you have selected.

As you can see here, the Restart Logging command completed.

If you want to see all in_progress commands running on All Devices in All Projects, Click the All in_progress button:

In this case, we have no other commands running at this time:

It may be helpful to you to view All Switch/Exchange commands that you have submitted.  This will show you all Switch/Exchange commands for All Devices:

By scrolling to the Right, you can see more detailed information regarding the Switch/Exchange commands:

If you select a command, you can cancel it by clicking Cancel Operation.
This will stop the command from being received by the device.  However, the HardTrack Cloud Server will continue to believe that the status of the device is, for example, Logging.  It is best to use the Start Logging and Stop Logging buttons that are normally used with Project Devices.
