Cleaning the ARES Device Case
The plastic box itself is not a medical device so there is
no specific cleaning process from the manufacturer that would cover viral
contamination so unfortunately we don’t have additional information other than
what is provided already and continue to recommend following CDC guidelines for
We ship in the plastic box and provide the box for storage
to protect the device. One possible solution you could consider is
sending the device out in a disposable cardboard box or just in the plastic bag.
We have moved to a card board box for our internal direct to
patient solution. The only thing to consider with something like this is
the possibility of device damage so extra care must be taken.
NOTE: Based on multiple customer requests, the ARES device cases were modified to provide a surface to the foam inserts that are easier to clean.
The foam, while holding snuggly in the box will not cause damage to the device.
