I. Survey Details

When the creating a survey the system loads up the survey details form as shown below.



Survey Name

  1. Used to uniquely identify this survey going forward 
  2. This is a required field

Survey Category

  1. What type of survey is this?
  2. Choose from the list provided
  3. Each category will assign an icon when published to help identify the survey
  4. This is a required field

Survey Description

  1. Provide some information about the survey in the Survey Description
  2. This will help your users understand the purpose of the survey
  3. This is an optional field
This is all that is required in this step to proceed, however there are other optional survey settings that you can enter.


Survey Duration


This provides the ability to allow users to access the survey

From Date

  1. Delay user access after publishing to a day in the future

AND/OR

To Date

  1. Stop user access when reaches the end of a day in the future
This can be useful for time sensitive surveys, such as product launches.

Survey Protection


To prevent unwanted access from unknown users, enter a password here.
  1. When a user tries to start a survey they will be asked the password
  2. This is also used in to help protect the system if set up kiosk mode, see more below

Question Options


Show Question Numbering

  1. Choose to show or hide a number against each question.
  2. Default this is set to 'On'

Single Question Mode

  1. Show one question on the form at a time (with next/last buttons)
  2. Default is set to 'Off' - ie all questions on one form in a continuous list

Quiz Mode

  1. Setting this value to on,
    1. Enabled the score field to be displayed for choice question response types.
    2. Stores scores achieved in the response download
  2. Default is set to 'Off' - responses do not have points

On Response Completion

  1. Decides what happens to the system when a user complete a survey
    1. If 'Show Summary' is chosen and the Quiz Mode (see above) is set to on, then the users score for the quiz is displayed and the correct answers are shown
    2. If 'Restart' is chosen the survey will restart when the user has clicked finished.
      1. Useful for the Kiosk Mode (see below)
      2. The survey can be exited by clicking the X in the top left corner, if a password is set then the user will be prompted for this to exit the survey.
    3. If 'Exit' is chosen the survey will stop when the user has finished. 
  2. Default is set to 'Do Not Show Summary and'  'Exit'


Kiosk Mode

If you want to leave your survey open and unattended, useful if at a show or exhibition, it is recommended that you use Kiosk Mode.

To set kiosk mode, ensure that the Survey the On Response Completion option set to 'Restart' and the survey has been set with a password, this will prevent any user from accessing your account at the end of the survey.
